Developer Florian Hoch has further harnessed the power of this utility by adding a graphical user interface, thus creating Displa圜AL. Usual order is WRGB per display sample so if you have 12 samples in a CCSS it has 3 displays samples and if you have only 1 display sample as the good one (4 rows with RGB data) you'll have to copy paste 3 times, then rewrite row ID for 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12.Argyll CMS is a popular open source display calibration, profiling and color management tool. Also if spectral sample have diferent wavelength window (like RGBLED) you'll have to add padding. First number on each row is spectral data row ID and you'll have to keep the proper index (1, 2,3,4.

(they are EDR files translated to CCSS text files)Ĭopy the CCSS to correct to another folder (the one with the same name as EDR used by LG Studio), edit it in a text editor and replace its spectral data with the good ones, repeating spectral series if needed to keep the file size. Once you have found which EDR is using the current LG Studio version find the CCSS counterpart in Displa圜AL default set of corrections, same name: Pick one or try to find which one it s using, like making a comparision between profile white point (from LG software, measured after calibration using some of these EDRs) and measured whitepoint (from Displa圜AL using these 2 corrections).

IDNK if LG updated their software or if the current version is using RG_phosphor or RGBLED EDRs for all their widegamut displays. (SpyderX may be able to measure them but it is worse than Xrite's)Ĭlick to expand.Sorry, I didn't read your message until today. There is going to be an error, due to low spectral resolution (i1Pro2) or due to wrong spectral correction (i1DisplayPro). I'm saying that LG Calibration Studio cannot measure a LG 95% P3 display with an Xrite device.

It will behave very close to an Apple P3 display. Same if you choose to use only Displa圜AL, mode to custom/user OSD mode at native gamut, calibrate white & grey. If you use LG calibration studio (hacked to measure properly or not) or some other 3rd party HW calibration solution, it is useless to limit display to sRGB if you only use macOS. If you take Displaycal approach you cannot make a detailed profile due to macOS color management limitations on desktop, keep default profile settings for MacOS that acknowledge these limitations. or you may try some other propietary HW cal solutions if they support your display (i1Pro2 will suffer same spectral resolution limitations, but most of them provide proper EDR for WLED PFS displays). or you may try to "hack" LG software to add/replace wrong EDR (GB-LED/RGBLED) with a more accurate one (Panasonic VVX17P051J00.edr from i1Profiler for 95% P3 WLED PFS display. You may try to post correct these errors in Displa圜AL, If using colorimeter error will vary depending on firmware sensivity curves. It does not matter if you use win or macos version, same limitations.
